Getting started

How long does it take to set up the first workflow?

Most teams start from a template and connect two or three tools. You can map the process first and switch on automation step by step, so nothing changes for your team until you are ready.

Do we have to change the tools we use?

No. Orrery connects to your existing inbox, chat, CRM and finance tools. People keep working where they already work.

Can we try it before we buy?

Yes. Every plan starts with a free trial, and you can explore the interactive demo on this site with sample data first.

Do you help with setup?

Growth and Scale plans include guided onboarding sessions. On any plan you can book a walkthrough to map your first process with us.

Workflows and automation

What is the Orbit view?

A picture of one workflow with a ring for each step and a marker for every run in progress. Runs line up along their ring, oldest first, so a long arc shows a long queue.

What can be automated?

Steps that follow a clear rule: reading details from a document, checking a value, creating a record, notifying someone, moving a run to the next step. Decisions that need judgement stay with people.

What happens when something goes wrong?

The run moves to the exceptions queue with a reason and an owner. Once the problem is fixed, it continues from the same step.

Can a workflow use several tools?

Yes. That is the point: each step can read from one tool and act in another.

Pricing and billing

What counts as a run?

A run is one pass through a workflow: one invoice, one refund, one new hire.

Do approvers need an Orrery account?

No. People who only approve or answer requests do it from chat or email and are not counted as editors.

Can we pay yearly?

Yes. Yearly billing costs less than paying monthly; the pricing page shows the exact difference for each plan.

Data and security

Where is our data stored?

[Describe where customer data is hosted and processed.]

Who can see our runs?

Only people in your workspace, according to the roles and permissions your admins set. [Add details about your own staff access policy.]

Can we export our data?

Yes. Runs and step timings can be exported as CSV, and Scale plans can read them through the API.

Account

How do I add people to our workspace?

Admins invite editors from workspace settings. Approvers are added automatically when a workflow asks them to decide something.

How do I cancel?

[Explain how cancellation works and what happens to data afterwards.]

Still deciding?

A 30-minute walkthrough answers most questions faster than a page can.
